Candidate Marina Garmon to Headline Second Week of Trustees for Change Six Big Ideas Monday, September 7th, 2026 – CHILLIWACK – Following their successful announcement of a Chilliwack Schools policy by candidate Barbara Bednarski on September 2nd, Trustees for Change are returning to Salish Park to make the next of the “Six Big Ideas” policy announcements.
This time, Marina Garmon, a frontline youth worker with much experience and many contacts in Chilliwack schools will be presenting a serious and comprehensive package of reforms to deliver more orderly and safer classrooms that will benefit students and frontline educators, especially Education Assistants, a group with high rates of injury and burnout under current policies.
Media and campaign supporters are encouraged to turn up for a noon announcement on the east side of the duck pond, at the south end, near the library. The announcement will start promptly at noon.
